    Description

    1969 TORINO CAR SPECS:
    Body of car stripped to bare metal and bottom of car media blasted.
    Left 1/4 panel had small patch panel, about the size of a 1/2 dollar, repaired by tig welding. Right 1/4 panel also had a small patch panel, about the size of a 1/2 dollar, repaired by tig welding.
    Right frame rail by driver seat area had cosmetic damage. It was repaired by Quality Body Shop of Mulvane, Kansas.
    Rear tail light panel was replaced because of damage.
    Car was painted in pieces with base coat  clear coat.  It was also painted underneath but, not to factory specs.  Car was going to be a daily driver, not a trailer queen.
    Windshield chrome and rear window chrome were sent out to have all dings removed and polished.
    New windshield installed. Factory correct repo.
    Master cylinder was sent out to be restored and plated.
    Brake calipers restored, new rotors installed.
    Front end suspension rebuilt.
    New brake lines and new fuel lines installed.
    New fuel tank installed.
    New headliner installed.
    New carpet installed.
    New seat covers installed.
    New door panel and rear kick panels may have been installed.
    New rear window deck panel installed.
    New front and rear bumpers installed.
    Wiring harness sent out and repaired.
    Instrument cluster, dash chrome and dash wood grain restored by Instrument Speciality.
    New front grille installed.
    Grade A dash pad purchased. (Not installed yet)
    Rear end rebuilt.  New  4130 chrome moly axles, 3rd. member rebuilt with new posi-trac unit and new gears with 3.00-1 gear ratio.
    Original 428 Cobra Jet engine and transmission.  Vin code is off by 8 digits.  This mistake was made at assembly line.
    Everything internally in engine was redone and/or replaced.  No expense was spared.  Engine made 495HP, detuned to factory specs.  Engine was rebuilt by Richard Mercaldi of South Carolina, who does high-end engine and experimental engine builds.
    Original water pump rebuilt.
    Block check for cracks and bored 40 over.
    New 10.1 Race Tech piston.
    Rods magna flux.
    Crank and rods and pistons balanced.
    Heads checked for cracks and new stainless steel valves installed.
    New valve springs.  All valve springs are in 10% tolerance pressure of each other for proper valve closure.
    New camshaft with a little better grind and factory lift.
    Carburetor rebuilt and re-plated.  Was replaced in 1974 at the Ford dealership is not the original carburetor.
    Distributor sent to Del-Tronics to be redone and to be made into electronic ignition.
    Transmission rebuilt.  New valve body with new planetary gear assembly, slight performance valve body.
    There are a lot of small items that have been purchased for the car during its restoration,... from floor grommets to side marker lights, etc.
    Air conditioning needs to be restored and installed.
    Alternator needs to be restored.
    Engine pulleys need to be restored and installed.
    Ram air cleaner assembly needs to be restored.
    Steering column and steering wheels need to be restored.
    Outside stainless steel moldings need to be restored and installed.
    Car is located in Mulvane, Kansas.  Engine and transmission have not been installed yet.
